Ferruccio laviani biography

Ferruccio Laviani is an Italian designer born in Cremona in 1960. His work began to arise in 1990 from the design and architectural movement of Memphis group.

Early Studies and the Opening of the Studio

Ferruccio Laviani, born in Cremona (Italy) in 1960, began his formative years studying at the International Professional Institute of Art and Crafts in Cremona, where he graduated in 1978.

He later attended the Faculty of Architecture at the Politecnico in Milan – where he received his degree in 1986 – while also attending at the same time the Scuola Politecnica di Design, in Milan, from 1982 to 1984.

In 1983 he started working for Michele De Lucchi.

They became partners in 1986 until 1991, when Laviani decides to open his own studio in Milan.
