 Tell us about your childhood, where did you grow up, and what high school did you attend?

I had a pretty normal childhood; I did not have everything I wanted but I was provided with everything I needed.

As a youngster, I moved around quite a bit between Kingston & St. Andrew and St. Catherine. I completed my secondary education at Jamaica College. 

Did your parents support your desire to be a chef and enter the culinary and hospitality industry?

At first no.

They thought I wasn’t being serious when I first mentioned it in my 3^rd year of high school, after I did my CXC’s and started to search for Culinary schools is when they realized how serious I was.

What was it like engaging yourself in skilled training at the Culinary Institute of America?

I loved it.

I would recommend this training for anyone looking to pursue a serious career in the culinary arts as this training exposed me to world cuisines, various techniques, and fundam
