Maamor Jantan was born in 1961, Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia. He was a well known Modern & Contemporary artist and a musician.

His artwork is focus on watercolour and his trademark icon — Cakcibor Series ( Dragon Flies ) in recent years. His portrayal of the ‘cakcibor’ with their delicate, transparent wings showed his intimate connection with Nature.

“I wanted people to realize how fragile our life really is. At the same time I did not want them to destroy the environment and how urgent it is to protect our ecosystem,” the artist revealed. Besides, Maamor Jantan also painted kampung series, especially his “Hari Raya Series”, having high demand in the industry.

In April 2014, Maamor Jantan held first solo exhibition at University Malaya consisting of 150 paintings from the day he first started painting till the present.

On top of that, Maamor Jantan work has been auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from $766 USD to $3,195 USD.
